OK, so my family reunion is in a week or two and we’re going to play golf. I need some advice on how to improve my swing. What, in your mind are the key points to a perfect swing and how do you prepare for a game of golf.

if you hit the ball and it goes forward without killing somebody is the perfect swing
The golf swing is basically a natural thing.
The first mistake alot of people make is thinking too much! You cannot concentrate on more than one swing thought.
Try setting up to the ball where you are not too close or reaching for the ball.
Take the club straight back behind the ball. As you turn your shoulders, your hips will follow.
Don’t overswing! Take the club to almost parallel (meaning don’t let the club become more than perpendicular to the ground).
Turn your hips back to the ball and your shoulders will follow.
Smooth follow through.
Firstly, Don’t try and put all your power into hitting it because you’ll waste energy and you hit it as far as you think you should’ve.
- Keep your arms straight in front of you
-Swing your arms into your back swing (Don’t even think about bending your elbows!)
-Swing forward
-follow through so your club is resting on your shoulder
****Don’t focus on power! If you just simply do this you’ll hit further then you can imagine!
If you just want to putt it in the simply concentrate and focus on where you want it to go.
Tiger.
To address the ball first bend your knees. then there should be a V kind of shape between your forearms. you have to align your club with you feet. For a driver you should align it withthe inside of your left foot(if your right handed) and the opposite for left handers. as the clubs get shorter move them back. when you get to your shortest club(not including putter, you put your putter is right in the center) align it with the inside if your right foot(if your right handed) and the opposite for left handers. First of all don’t use your arms. meaning don’t use them for power. they should not be tense and be perfectly calm. your arms are for only holding the club and guiding it. move your hips and stomach to take the club back. when your about 1/4 into your backswing the toe(the bottom of the club should be vertically straight. and keep moving your stomach and hips until your left shoulder(if you are right handed) or your right shoulder(if you are left handed) are touching your chin. then on your down swing pull down. What I mean by that is that with your stomach and hips you should rotate and have a feeling that you are pulling down the club. remember don’t use your arms. At impact the face of the club should be going down into the ground(not too much) right behing the ball. the main key on golf is that the club is going down at impact. but don’t exaggerate that movement. and then you should have a good follow through. If you ever play again order the Medicus Golf club.
well i like a nice firm tush. pull all your air in so u cant breath. ( when u don’t breath u don’t think ) now bend ur knees so u r 10 inches off the ground and bam!!!
get a hold of one of Ben Hogan’s instructional books, he had a great ball striking swing and was very accurate, he also hit a very nice fade. In his books he outlines everything: your grip, stance, swing plane, ect…., personally it has helped me play much better.
